Manufacture of bleached cotton and nonwovens

Cotton fibre is suitable for the subsequent production of nonwovens and finished products

Due to the structure of fibre, cotton is able to retain moisture better, which ensures a longer drying period of wipes after opening the package

Absorbency of cotton

Loyalty to cotton materials

Cotton is a natural and hypoallergenic material, which is especially recommended for newborns due to its environmental friendliness and safety

Viscose fibres are flat and straight, whereas cotton fibres have a twisted ribbon shape, making cotton material better at trapping dirt

Dirt retention

Cotton wipes stay moist twice as long as their counterparts

Long-term moisture retention

Environmentally friendly and biodegradable

Cotton is an annually renewable crop, while it takes more than 40 years to grow the wood needed to produce viscose

Period during which the material completely decomposes

days

The cotton is soft, dense, pleasant to touch and does not squeak in hands, making it comfortable to use

Tactile feel

Cotton is stronger when wet than when dry, providing increased resistance to tearing.

Sustainability
Quality and safety
Flexibility
Innovations
Together with our partners we strive to minimise our environmental footprint at all stages of production and product use
The stable quality of nonwovens is ensured by production parameter control, metal detectors and fibre analysis system
The production technology allows creation of nonwovens with a wide range of characteristics: density (35−220 g/m2), width (50−2400 mm), as well as plain and patterned fabrics
The modern production line allows to create nonwovens from 100% cotton and from a mixture of cotton, viscose, polyester fibres in different ratios
Our advantages
The line is equipped with a two-stage reverse osmosis filtration unit, which retains up to 99% of all dissolved organic and inorganic impurities while maintaining a continuous flow of water into the system. The energy- and resource-efficient filtration system makes it possible to use the process water in a closed cycle
Resource saving
Rusvata plant is located in the Meshchersky National Park, which obliges us to adhere to the principles of environmentally friendly production
